eOption Import Instructions:
 
Note: eOption uses Penson as their clearing firm. Therefore TradeLog users will download the trade activity report from eOption and then import into TradeLog using the Penson Import Filter.
 
General Procedure:
 
1. Log into your eOption account and Click on the Account tab, and then the Activity tab.
 
 
     
 
2. In the Account MODE: Criteria section for the activity type select Trades. Uncheck the box next to Current
 
     
 
3. Select a date range and Click GO
 
       
 
4. The trades will now be displayed. Scroll down to the Trade Detail Secion
 
       
 
5. Scroll to the right and click the Download Link
 
       
 
6. An Export Data dialog box will appear. Select Delimited Text File, and then Comma Delimited. Click Download
 
       
 
Note: For Mozilla Firefox users a message will appear in red - right-click on this message and click Save Link As as shown below
 
             
 
7. Save the file to the MyDocuments/tradelog/import folder.
 
       
 
8. Run TradeLog
 
9. If you haven't already, set-up the Penson Import Filter (see Selecting a Broker Import Filter). Click on the Penson Imp speed button on the toolbar to begin the import process.
 
10. The Penson Import window will appear. Navigate to and select the appropriate ExportData.txt text file to be imported into your data file (this is the file you downloaded from your eOption account).
 
       
 
 
11. Click the Open button to begin importing your trade data. Trades are automatically imported and matched by Trade Number.
 
12. To confirm your import and save the trade data, click the YES button. Click the NO button to cancel the import.
 
13. A Confirmation window will appear, indicating the number of imported records and asking you to confirm the import. Click YES to confirm.
