Note: Automatic updates are available to all TradeLog users. Whenever a new update is available, users can click Help, Update and a setup file will download and run on their computer.
Only users with current, valid registration codes are able to download the latest update.
Users with expired registration codes attempting to download version updates will receive a Registration Code Expired error message. If your registration code has expired, you will need to visit our Purchase page and renew your subscription prior to running an update download.
TradeLog will automatically try to access our web site and check for a software update when the program is first run. You must be connected to the Internet prior to running the program for this function to work.

The status bar at the bottom of the TradeLog window will alert you to the fact that an update is available:

Simply click the status bar with your mouse.

Your web browser will run and direct you to our Update/Download page.

Enter your first name, last name, email address and registration code (with dashes) in the fields provided.

Click the Download button.

The Download TradeLog instruction page will load in your web browser.

Click the Download Main Program link.

The Save As dialog box will appear. Do not change the filename. Click the Save button. The updated setup file will download to your computer.

When the download is complete, click the Open button.

Click Install to run the installation program.

Click I Agree to the User Agreement (EULA).

The new setup program will automatically run and install the new version of TradeLog on your computer, overwriting any previous program files (the default location is c:\program files\tradelog). Your TradeLog desktop icon will also be updated.

Open the TradeLog program by clicking on the desktop icon.

You will be prompted to re-enter your Registration Code to unlock the new version of the software. Enter the code in the format indicated

Click OPEN.

Your TradeLog program has now been updated to the most recent version available.
Users may also click Help, Update from within the TradeLog software to load the Update/Download page on our web site to check if an update is available.
Users must be connected to the internet prior to running the Update function. Without this access, TradeLog will generate an error message.
