Import from CSV File

General Procedure:
  • Login to your online tradeMONSTER account at www.trademonster.com and launch the trading application.
  • From the Account menu, select History.
  • The filter should be set to Filter Off. For the Time settings select the drop down option and choose Range.
  • In the Time settings, specify the range you would like to download and click GO.
  • Once the history is displayed, in the top right of the report click on the Download icon as shown below.
  • When prompted to open or save, select the Save file option
    It is best to save the file to your computer in the"C:\My Documents\TradeLog\Import" folder.
    Note: If the csv file opens in your web browser, or opens in Microsoft Excel, rather than receiving a prompt to download and save, then there is likely a problem with your Windows file associations for csv files. For instructions on how to fix this click here
  • Run TradeLog.
  • Click the tradeMONSTER Imp speed button to begin the import process.
  • Click the Excel CSV Download option if prompted then click OK.
  • A tradeMONSTER Import window will appear. Navigate to and select the appropriate report to be imported.
  • Click the "Open" button to import the report.
  • All of your trades will be automatically imported and matched.
  • A Confirmation window will appear. Click YES to save all imported trade data.
  • Repeat the above procedure for as needed to bring your file up-to-date.
